NEIMAN MARCUS: TWO DAYS SALE - EXTRA 25%OFF

Although I'm really excited about Bloomingdales Friends & Family, something more to be excited about is Neiman Marcus online clearance sale. This sale is allowing extra 25% off on ALL SALE ITEMS, which INCLUDES all high-end designer labels, like Givenchy, Prada etc. It will only last for two days, including today. Too bad, today is almost gone with 2 hours left, however, you have all day tomorrow to go through their online website and score something timeless.

Some of the things caught my eyes were Brian Atwood Crisscross front pump for $393 plus 25%off, Manolo Blahnik cut-out Napa Ballerina flat for $335, and Herve Ledger Colorblock bandage dress for $904 from $1350 plus 25%off. There are also plenty of items other than clothing like home and accessories, if you are in for some new seasons spring upgrades. Bloomingdales are having their Friends & Family sale starting today in store and online. The in-store 20 % discount can be received by printing this coupon and online can be taken by typing promo code 'SPRINGFF' at checkout. The discount ranges from 20% on fashion and home while only 10% OFF on small electronics and men's electronics. It is valid till April 3rd and if shopped online, customers can receive free shipping on orders of $150 or more. As usual, this discount excludes jewelery, cosmetics, and any major designer labels like Chanel, Marc Jacobs Prada, Miu Miu and etc. Even so, this discount is worth it for contemporary labels and will help make your closet spring ready. SAMPLE MADNESS RETURNS

Another week of crazy sample sales are happening in the city. Given that I have school and full time job, it's hard to make time to hit all the sample sales in the city. However, here are the inside report from our fellow bloggers who were the first one on the scene to report us on what to expect from these few sales.


ESCADA SAMPLE SALE: Gems can be found!

TIPS: As reported by our fellow blogger, SampleSally who quoted another blogger, the sale ranges from different color tags that represent different discount percentages. Shoes are around $100 and fragrances are around $20 (thats a steal). Also, I'm sure with a brand like Escada, you'll surely be able to score a deal somehow and somewhere.

HERMES: Lack Luster

TIME: Wed 9am- 6pm, Thurs 9am - 8pm, Fri and Sat 9am - 6pm, Sun 1pm - 5pm. 

TIPS: Mostly people believe that this year sale has been a colossal disappointment. However, there still is a selection of scarves that are going for $200 or more, a few pair of gloves and racks of ties. There were other goods like belts and shoes but as Madisonavespy reported, they were less than desirable. So I would advise that instead wasting your time in this really spring-snowy weather, invest your time in perhaps, D & G sample sale.

Dolce & Gabbana : Always exciting especially when the prices are slashed!

TIPS: Mizhattan has given some insider details on what to expect. There are dresses and jackets that are still pricey even with the discount. There are some pair of shoes left with sizes 39 and above that are ranging $100 and upwards. Like always, there is always a price cut near the end of the sale, so i would just to wait till saturday to shop when they slash more prices and increase the discount.

BARNEY'S WAREHOUSE SALE!!!

Like every year, Barney holds a warehouse sale where designer shoes and clothes are reduced significantly. This year it started almost two weeks ago and now its coming to an end this sunday. Before it ends, I wanted to advise everyone to take a last peek since it is offering some really steep discounts. Shoes are extra 70% off on the lowest price, women clothing is about 65% off of the sale amount and men shirts are extra 25% off. There are more discounts which are not quoted here but the discounts are pretty impressive. I scored Manolo Blahnik originally $989 boots for $149, Pierre Hard from $850 to $130 and Barneys COOP sandals for just $50. I feel internally joyous for spending so little for such amazing designer shoes. There are plenty of styles left and I did not have enough time to look at the womens clothing section but as I take it from the flock of people inside the stores, there are still some good merchandise left. I spotted one lady holding studded Givenchy shirt that was discounted down to $120.
Now about the men section where I did spend a little bit time looking at men's dress shirts and ties. Barney's branded dress shirts were all discounted extra 25% off. The price was ranging from $65 which will discounted down and Ties were ranging from $100 to $50 which were all extra 50% off. Again, there is alot of good merchandise left but for that you need patience to go through racks and racks of clothes. 

SALE IS EXTENDED: THEORY AND HELMUT LANG... AND NAOMI WATTS?

Sorry GiltyGlam readers, I was swamped with school work but I finally took some time out to report on Theory and Helmut Lang Sample Sale. The sale is extended up till thursday, Feburary 10th on 93 Mercer. This doesn't happen so often that a sale is extended for another week but our guess is since there is so much merchandise left over, they rather extend their stay then to leave with massive amount of clothing. Also as I was trying on a few pieces in the open fitting room, I spotted our Australian actress Naomi Watts. As one can see that it's not only us running around for discounts, even Hollywood is discount savvy.

Now a bit more about the actual sale. There is a lot of Theory left over, about six to seven long racks, ranging from dresses, tops, dress pants, blazers, jackets, jeans and what not! Prices range from $269.99 for Jackets, $109 for dresses and $49.99 for T-shirts. The prices are pretty reasonable considering the brand makes really chic and classy stuff that can be worn day to night. Moreover, they had a few disappointing racks of Helmut Lang that offered a few pieces of tie and dye prints top, denim and jackets. There was nothing that I saw that was too appealing except the denim which had sizes from 24-28 going for $69.99. Usually, the sizes run a little smaller than normal, and the length is usually longer than the regular denim brands. They also had few pieces from some third party designers that are not advertised such as Gryphon and Haute Hippie and they were actually priced cheaper than Theory and Helmut Lang.

Overall, this sample sale is pretty good as it has a lot of merchandise and sizes. I would say to give it a few more days and you will see more discounts.

SAMPLE SALE ALERT: HELMUT LANG AND THEORY

The most interesting sample sale is coming to town on January 29 and 30 in Soho on 93 Mercer. Helmut Lang: the ultra hipster chic and Theory that defines classy and sleek will be held next week. This sale is quite exciting as it will have everything we desire. Theory will help fill our closet with classy and sleek gear that can be used for day and night . And Helmut Lang will help us acquire very chic hipster everyday gear with edge on prices that will make us joy in glee. As we know from previous experiences that these sample sales usually have last season collection.

As aforementioned that public sale starts on Jan 29 and 30, we can also enjoy a private sale that starts two days before (Jan 27 & 28) by purchasing tickets at Gilt City at Gilt.com. The only way you can be a part of gilt.com is by registering and purchasing the tickets under City section of the website. They have two options where first day of the private sale is $10 and second day is $5 and this event is open exclusively to Gilt City members. So those of us who want to avoid messy crowded lines and craziness in the dressing rooms, we can enjoy early access by reserving a spot with those tickets. 

TORY BURCH WINTER SALE : UP TO 50% OFF

Yet again, Tory Burch is trying to clean out its Fall merchandise to make room for spring. This time offer is pretty decent ranging upto 50% off. We have our eyes on the shoes since they are the first to run out in the department store. There popular Tory medallion Reva ballerina flats are on sale for $118 from $235 which I would say is a good deal since you can wear them in and out of all the seasons. I'm also loving these tall wedge shearling boots that are perfect for this weather to stay warm are going for $163 from $325. There are not many sizes left and they are getting sold rather quickly so I would suggest to jump on them quickly before we are left with scraps.

ALEXIS BITTAR SALE: 50% OFF

Alexis Bittar jewelery is having their winter sale on all sort of lustrous jewels. The sale includes bracelets, rings, ear rings, and necklaces and it's all 50% Off. Some pieces that I'm adoring at the moment is the Web Matte Gold Hinge Bracelet that was originally for $525 to $262.50 and the matching Web Matte Gold Ring for $125.

There is so much to choose from so it makes it hard to decide on what to get. I would suggest to go with the bracelets and rings because they are the statement making jewels and will go a long way.
