HERMES SAMPLE SALE

My calendar is packed with social shopping agendas and in comes another, mother of all sample sales, Hermes. This sale will include lots of ties, scarves, shoes, RTW, accessories and much more. However, do not expect to find any Kelly or Birkin bags as they were none earlier this year and most likely won't be on sale this time around. Either way, this sale is indeed very exciting and not to be missed.

FNO: MISSONI X TARGET

A few days ago, I let you in on my desire to get my hands on the Missoni collab collection with Target. Although, the collection is set to release on Sept. 13th, New Yorkers can get a sneak peek on Fashions night out. Angela Missonio and Margherita Maccapani will be there to greet guests and first 20 guests who will spend 100 dollars will get a chance to take a family style portrait with the designers. Also, whoever will purchase the FNO t-shirt within the first hour will be entered in a Missoni for Targe prize pack selected by the designers themselves.

KARL LAGERFELD FOR MACYS IMPULSE COLLECTION

In the hype of all the coming sales, we must not forget Macy's much-hyped collaboration with Karl Lagerfeld is set to appear this fall, August 31st. The collection will be reminiscent of Lagerfeld's work and design philosophy and it will be sold in almost 235 Macy's stores and Online. It would include beautiful airy tops, dresses, and his signature-high collared necks. As Lagerfeld said in the Macy's Press conference back in July:

To me Macy's is the perfect department store in the United States where everybody can find what they're looking for without ruining their budget," said Karl Lagerfeld. "That's why I am happy to make this limited collection just for Macy's.

We are also happy you made this collection Karl, because not everyone can afford your high-end designs. Also as I see it, the collection has a very sophisticated yet rock n' roll feel with pieces that can be worn to work and on daily basis. Some of my favorite pieces are as follow:

WANT: OLIVIA'S STATEMENT CLUTCH

A beautiful piece of accessory can really change an outfit. I fell in love with this clutch the minute I saw Olivia Palermo wear it with her Victoria Beckham Sheath dress and leopard pumps by Charlotte Olympia. BARNEYS WAREHOUSE SALE

A few months ago, I almost teared when I heard that the Barneys Warehouse Sale will be its last. According to Racked.com that the new CEO, Mark Lee, always looked down upon the warehouse idea of the sale. To read further on that, please click here. However, the highly buzzed-event is indeed returning and I'm sure, there are many people who took a sigh of relief. This sale is epic and I have gotten some really spectacular pieces for much less than their original prices.

It's always exciting to see premier designers collaborate to make affordable collection with different department and independent stores. This year, the legendary Italian fashion house, Missoni is introducing their collection at Target which will include apparel for women, men, girls, boys and baby. Along with that they are also designing a home good collection that will have colorful patterns and chic designs significant of their aesthetics all at affordable prices.

According to the press release, the prices will range from $2.99 to $599.99 with most items costing less that $40. The line will be available on Sept. 13 to Oct. 22, 2011 and some items will be available online-only.
