SAMPLE SALE: ALICE AND OLIVIA REVIEW

Stacey Bandet knows how to put a party into a dress. Her line Alice and Olivia are filled with beautiful party dresses that are perfect for this holiday season or any kind of parties. As I made my way through it's sample sale today, I could see all these glistening, shimmery beautiful dresses that would make any one smile in glee.

So there are two videos below that gives you an idea of what to expect. There were plentiful dresses and tops that included beaded, sequined, all sort of party dresses. The prices ranged from $69 to $199 for tops and dresses, detailed list image is below. The sample sizes were the real juicy part of the sale which was located towards the back end of the room. There were three different racks, one was priced at $29 with knits and casual tops, $49 for simple or lightly embellished party dresses and heavily embellished party dresses was for $99. There was an corner area of shoes displayed in range of sizes. It included keds, flats, heel, ankle boots and tall boots, ranging from $39 to $199. There were also sweater ($99), fur and outerwear ($299) and accessories (belts, scarves and beaded bags). 

The highlight of the sale was the sample racks which were disappearing really fast and regular stock of tops and party wear dresses. If you haven't picked out an outfit for coming holiday events and parties, then this is your place. Happy shopping!!

As girls, our makeup bag is never full. With holidays around the corner, we can all use some beautiful makeup for less. SAMPLE SALE: LOEFFLER RANDALL

If you are looking for a pair of boots with downtown cool yet uptown sophistication then look no further then Loeffler Randall who are hosting their winter sample sale at their showroom. The sale is usually up to 60% off of retail which is pretty good considering their boots usually are priced around $700 plus.

SAMPLE SALE: TORY MANIA

Tory Burch opened it's door today for some crazy Tory sample sale. Most women who attended this sale were interested in bags and shoes. If you are heading there for shoes, then you must know that everyone was handed a number ticket, and the number was called out which allowed you to gain access to the shoes section for 10 minutes. Prices for the shoes were as such, flats were $150, wedges, sneakers were $99, wedges were $165, booties were $200 and boots were $250. Some of the shoes were found online for high price and if you are not in for the crazy crowd today, then you should wait out for post Christmas sale at Saks and Bloomingdale's where you can find these similar styles for similar prices.

There was a large selection of handbags as well, pictured below to get an idea what to expect. There were number of racks for clothing which were less than appealing. There were cardigans, few dresses, one kind of tunics and plenty of t-shirts. If you are in for clothes, you might find something you like but nothing you will love. Happy Shopping!

DVF SAMPLE SALE REVIEW

Today was an epic sample sale day with DVF and Tory Burch hosting sample sales blocks from each other. This is a lowdown to what to expect on both sales.

DVF:

DVF opened its doors today for press preview. As per usual, the sale was filled with classic DVF prints, beautiful dresses and tops, everything at a very nominal price. There were also racks of accessories to be had such as ipad/iphone cases, bags, scarves, wallets, and something like a DVF signature ping pong set for $20. SAMPLE SALE: MARCHESA PRIVATE SALE

Calling all Marchesa fans, it's that time of the year. The Marchesa private sale is here and it start next week. To those of you are searching for a perfect holiday dress, head over to Marchesa studios for the two day sample sale. In the wake of hurricane Sandy, most of the businesses in New York were effected by power outages and flooding. After a week of utter chaos, lower Manhattan seems to be gaining it's power back and we can all try to put Sandy behind us (of course are prayers are with those who are severely affected). Some of the luxury retailers who were scheduled for the sales either have rescheduled or cancelled. After a long silence on this website, we have made our return. The silence was taken due to many events that were required utmost attention and consideration, leaving very little time to write and post up delicious sales for our dear readers. Sample sale has officially started after Hermes sale. Now add to the excitement, the Olsen Twins label, The Row, is having a proper sample sale on Sept. 20th. Last year, they had a sample sale that only lasted for about three hours which allowed only very few people to get their hands on the amazing label. However, this year this sale will be held in Soiffer Haskin and it will be take place for four whole days. Amazing! Just a side note, expect amazing prices, however, since the label is high end, last year as reported by Mizhattan, prices were still steep for a sample sale. But anything that get out hands on the Row, we are in.

Brace yourself people because Hermes sample sale is here and it is officially starting this thursday, Sept 6th. However, do not expect to find any Birkins or Kellys as they are too precious to be in a sample sale.

It's safe to say that Olivia Palermo is quickly becoming a style icon since she appeared on The Hills spin off with Whitney Port, The City. Recently, we came across her wearing an uber cute shift dress while vacationing. Is it us or does she make everything look good. We think it's the latter and then we hunted down that cute dress which is by Free People. Sadly, it is currently out of stock but we hope to find it online or by hunting it down at our nearest Free People retail store.

Givenchy launches a new lip gloss that will create a unique shade of pink depending on the lip's pH. The lip gloss is clear in color but as soon as you apply, the color will appear that will suit your complexion. Although,  the color changing technology is the first for a lip gloss, Almay (drug store brand)has already created a tinted foundation that adheres to the shade of your skin years ago. The only thing that excites us about this product is the company itself as we love other products by Givenchy, hence the reason why we will try it once it launches on August 20th.
