Lo and behold, my favorite designer of all time, Diane Von Furstenberg is hosting its' biannual sample sale. The sale starts on Tuesday, June 5th and ends on Saturday June 9th. From past experience, this sale is always high demand and attracts a very large crowd. They also cut prices as the sale progresses so most likely you will see tops go down from $100 to $60 by end of the week. Please click here and here for previous sale reports.
*UPDATE*
DVF opened its door for sample sale yesterday to eager press and it's friends & family. The sale, as per usual, was packed with racks and racks of DVF clothing and hoarders were seen drowned in it everywhere (very difficult to maneuver around them, I must add). Nonetheless, it is an epic New York sale, where people wait to get DVF prints on significant discount.
How epic? There were ample of dresses, which included the signature wrap, solid, prints and sequins. Some of the dresses spotted were New Julian Two dress, Yazhi Sequined gown, Abigail dress, Warner Flower lace dress, Maja Two dress and more. Also, the accessories section included DVF laptop cover, Large leather handbags, wallets, clutches, scarves and belts. There was a sample and a damage section where clothing costed $50 to $40 (which means you will leave with something if you walked in).
Overall, there is a slight increase in the price from last year which is insignificant given the fact that some of these dresses are currently being sold online for a much higher price. If these prices are not very appealing, try going in by Friday to see further reduction in prices.
Wondering how much reduction? To get an idea, read my older posts mentioned above.
