Sample Sale: Christopher Fischer

Winter is here and so are all the sales that keep us warm. Christopher Fischer, luxury cashmere designer, is holding a sample sale. The sale will include apparel for men, women baby and home accessories. Also, there will be no fitting rooms and portion of the sale will go towards the Red Cross hurricane Sandy Relief Fund.

Let’s start with Thakoon since I attended the preview and can say:  they have amazing deals! Plus, there’s a large selection of merchandise. The offerings are mostly samples and runway pieces (size 2 an 4) at $50-$200.  Standout pieces were knit and jersey draped dresses and tunics ($50), black basic sweater ($100), a red leather top ($500) seen on the runway, a black leather hooded blazer ($200, retails for $2,950), python flats ($100).  Stay tuned for my full report later today.

As the sea of sample sales flowing our way, Lauren Moffatt is also part of the mix. This sale is exceptionally exciting for it's chic and easy design for everyday girl.

In the wake of hurricane Sandy, most of the businesses in New York were effected by power outages and flooding. After a week of utter chaos, lower Manhattan seems to be gaining it's power back and we can all try to put Sandy behind us (of course are prayers are with those who are severely affected). Some of the luxury retailers who were scheduled for the sales either have rescheduled or cancelled. However, a few such designers such as Alexander Wang and SFERRA are continuing the sale as scheduled. So here are the details of upcoming sales.

RED SOLES

Paris just got even more romantic. The love for red soles are being showcased all over Paris. The 'indies' patent (image 1) is displayed against the Port Alexander III, 'love me glitter' pumps (image 2) are placed against the bank of Notre Dame and 'Farida Bowler' bag with 'Lady Troop' black (image 3) boots against the fountain of Trocadero. How dreamy, this makes me want to jet-set to Paris right away.
