BEAUTY: SUMMER ANTI-FRIZZ GUIDE

With summer heat in full effect, fried frizzy hair becomes a serious problem. They are not only unflattering, it is difficult to maintain a smooth, sleek and healthy look. Here are some simple pointers (or a friendly reminder) to prevent from becoming frizz-central.

What causes frizz? Well, the hot weather for one (makes hair dry), humidity for two (dry hair absorbs moisture causing frizz) and general frizzy prone hair for three.

Tip 1. Natural hair oil is your friend: Lather up only a few times a week. Use dry shampoo (Klorane - adds amazing volume, contains oat milk) to give volume and texture when in need of hair wash.

Tip 2. Put back moisture. Use a hydrating shampoo which will help restore moisture. Apply leave-in conditioner (locks moisture). Finish with Moroccan oil (Also, seals in moisture and prevents frizz).

Tip 3. Avoid towel dry. Women with major frizz problem, avoid towel drying. It irritates hair cuticles which promotes frizziness. If you must, use air dry (voila :) or towel-press hair to squeeze water out.

Tip 4. Alcohol/Sulfate free products: When using hair products, make sure they are alcohol and sulfate free. They strip hair from it's natural oils which created a moisture barrier thus resulting into even more frizz.
